About the Department
Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.
The Position - Job Level 4
Your main responsibility will include:
Responsible for handling general accounting including posting of incoming outgoing payments, cash application, GL postings, invoicing, reconciliations, and Month end closing along with controllership activities. Manual postings of incoming and outgoing payments and upload of postings from excel to SAP and also take care of month-end accrual, GIT postings. Daily identification, research and follow up of incoming & outgoing payments and also handling reconciliation of IHB accounts using SAP system, both E1P and the IHB functionality. Ensure reconciliation of account and correct accounting flow in both buying and selling company and handling invoice list and confirmation to preliminary and final statements sent by HQ. Handling inventory reporting and opening and closing of accounting periods and depreciation posting.
Qualifications
We are expecting you to hold the below skills and knowledge:
Bachelor of Commerce (or equivalent) with a strong academic record and 4–9 years of experience in accounting or finance within a large organization. Proven expertise in SAP ERP systems (FI/CO and SD modules) and system interfaces; strong general ledger accounting knowledge. Experience handling accounts receivables, intercompany transactions, bank systems, international transfers, and reconciliations. Solid understanding of accounting documentation, Sarbanes-Oxley (Sarbox) compliance, and audit processes in a global corporate environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with effective communication and MS Office proficiency. Knowledge of Middle East Africa business operations is an advantage.
