**Job Description**
The U.S. Bank Law Division is seeking an attorney to lead the Capital Markets Legal Team.
This attorney will lead a team of legal professionals who provide legal support for U.S. Bank’s Global Capital Markets group, which includes the Investment Grade Underwriting, Leverage Finance, Structured Credit, Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, Bond Sales & Trading, and Funding/Repo business lines. The products offered by the supported business lines include corporate and municipal bond sales, trading, and origination, asset-backed securities and CLOs, interest rate derivatives, commodity derivatives, foreign exchange, subscription finance, private placements, and repo and securities lending.
**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ Provide legal support to the Global Capital Markets business
+ Collaborate with other related support functions, such as Risk, Compliance and Regulatory Services
+ Work with senior leadership within the business line and advises on regulatory and risk matters, as well as new product development and support
**PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:**
+ Law degree required
+ Licensed in good standing to practice law in at least one jurisdiction required
+ 15+ years of experience as an attorney in a law firm, regulatory authority and/or as in-house counsel supporting capital markets products
+ Experience with securities laws and broker-dealer regulatory matters
+ Experience with corporate finance, in particular the underwriting, sales and trading of bonds, and other fixed income products
+ Experience navigating relationships with regulatory authorities, especially the SEC and FINRA
+ Experience with broker-dealer corporate governance
+ Familiarity and experience with relevant trade groups ( _e.g._ , SIFMA)
+ Experience managing a team of lawyers and paralegals
+ Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skill
+ Ability to collaborate confidently and effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leaders
+ Ability to assess risks and provide thoughtful advice in a fast-paced environment

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $186,150.00 - $219,000.00
