Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Create and publish proprietary equity research reports including company initiation reports, industry landscape and company specific research reports 2. Conduct due diligence (via KOL interviews, surveys, clinical data analyses) to understand market dynamics, and make investment recommendations to institutional investors. 3. Build financial and market models to analyze company valuations and inform investment recommendations (BUY, HOLD, SELL). 4. Develop relationships and actively engage with management teams (CEO, CFO, CMO, CCO, etc.) and investor relations professionals at covered companies. 5. Pursue new sources of information/ identify creative ways to generate differentiated research, formulate investment ideas and provide valuable information to institutional clients Level-specific duties: Conduct proprietary research and write reports at several levels: macro, industry, and individual company (briefs and in-depth initiation reports) Ability to formulate investment ideas and provide strong supportive evidence Builds financial models (market, IS, BS, CF, DCF) to support investment ideas Comfortable monitoring news flow, reacting with quick-takeaways to stock-moving developments Interacts with sales, trading, corporate management teams/ contacts, and institutional clients **Required Qualifications:** The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Licenses Required: the SIE and the 7 Top Off (or Series 7 for those licensed prior to October 2019), Series 63, Series 87 and either the Series 86 or a FINRA waiver for those who have completed CFA II. 3. Minimum of 5 years of related work experience or academic study beyond BA/BS. 4. Mastery of financial and accounting concepts to facilitate the creation of in-depth financial models. 5. Advanced written and oral communication skills and teaming ability. 6. Strong analytical and sales skills **Preferred Qualifications:** 1. Advanced Life Sciences Degree and/ or has a developed a deep understanding of the biotech industry 2. 2+ years of related work experience in biotech equity research, or investment banking 3. High level of proficiency in financial modeling 4. Strong interest in the stock market, and in conducting the necessary research to develop/ support investment ideas 5. Must be able to multi-task, have a strong attention to detail, and work well in a collaborative environment. - The annual base salary for this position in New York is $185,000 **General Description of Available Benefits for Eligible Employees of Truist Financial Corporation:** All regular teammates (not temporary or contingent workers) working 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits, though eligibility for specific benefits may be determined by the division of Truist offering the position.
