Senior Associate Broker

Job Description

THIS JOB DESCRIPTION IS COMPREHENSIVE. HOWEVER, THERE MAY BE ADDITIONAL DUTIES WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED FROM TIME TO TIME.

Under the direction of the Manager, Broker’s Assistants, assigned Lead Broker(s), and other assigned supervisors perform a variety of responsible duties related to the solicitation and placement of insurance policies for Wholesure sub-producers. This is an hourly non-exempt position, consisting of administrative duties specifically related to holding a property and casualty license.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities                

Take direction from Manager, Broker’s Assistants, and assist designated Lead Broker(s) in all aspectsTake direction from Manager, Broker’s Assistants, and back-up other Broker’s AssistantsTake direction from Manager, Broker’s Assistants, and support Sr. Broker’s Assistants as neededAssist customers (retail agencies) in handling of questions or problemsLog in quote submissionsTrack submissions sent to broker marketsTrack submissions sent to binding market UnderwriterSend out correspondence, such as confirmation of receipt of risk, finance letters, etc.Issue quote letters and or binder letters as requiredSet and handle suspense’s for required requested items, policies, etc.Ensure compliance with all binding market rulesDiscuss problems or potential problems with company underwriters, verbally or via emailCompile all required documentation for the Policy Issuance Department for binding authority businessCompile all required documentation for SLA filings on individual risksSend and request notice of cancellations on specific policiesOrder and review inspectionsControl audit endorsements, including payments, final dates for returning them to the insurance company for direct collectionPerform other related duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

Required: High school diploma, current and active Property and Casualty Producer License. A minimum of 5 years P&C experience. Wholesale experience preferred.Preferred: Two or more years of college.Preferred: Two years of college and completion of some insurance courses, including but not limited to INS 21, CISR, AU, CIC or CPCU.Advanced knowledge of ISO Commercial General Liability form, preferredAdvanced knowledge of differences in property forms between Basic, Broad and Special, preferredAdvanced knowledge of Property/Casualty insurance industry.

Technology Skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Previous knowledge of Microsoft Teams and Agency Management SystemsKnowledge of TIF documents

Pay Details:

The base compensation range for this position is $55,000 - $95,000. This range reflects Acrisure's good faith estimate at the time of this posting. Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
