Senior Associate Banking Regulation

Job Description & Summary

Are you excited about supporting banks and investment firms on their regulatory transformation journey? Do you want to make a real impact on banks and investment firms, helping them achieve their strategy, objectives, and navigate regulatory changes? Additionally, do you want to work in an ambitious team and seek continuous personal development to deepen your expertise in risk and regulation? Then you are the Senior Associate with the Regulatory Transformation team we are looking for!

What will you be doing?

Our goal is to help our clients build capabilities to efficiently address the tsunami of complex regulation and create a solid foundation for sustainable growth based on regulatory compliance. As a Senior Associate, you are an important part of our multidisciplinary teams to help the clients successfully execute and coordinate governance, risk management, finance and compliance assignments. In this role, you advise banks and investment firms on achieving their strategy and objectives in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. You do this by providing a holistic view of the regulation and client’s key compliance issues as well as performing deep analyses on specific regulatory, risk questions and finance/accounting questions. With us, you become part of an international and inclusive team, where you are involved in the entire process: from the first contact with the client to the moment we perform post-engagement evaluation. You work closely with clients in a team setting.

Your work environment is dynamic and varies from being at the client's site, at the PwC office, to the flexibility of working from home. You act in the role that best suits the specific situation, which varies depending on the project.

As a Senior Associate within the Regulatory Transformation team, you will be involved in activities such as:

Performing (large scale) regulatory transformation projects related to implementation of new banking regulation or supervisory remediation programs;

Advising clients concerning a broad range of regulatory topics (e.g. Stress testing, SREP, ESG risk management, regulatory reporting and disclosures) and regulations (e.g. CRR, CRD, Basel standards, ECB and EBA guidelines);

Coordinating projects, taking into account supervisory expectations and interests of internal stakeholders;

Supporting clients with technical interpretation of specific regulatory and/or accounting questions;

Driving initiatives on leveraging technology and market trends to help clients optimize their compliance and risk management processes;

Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the banking regulation and continuously expand your technical knowledge of the regulatory landscape.

Within PwC, you are part of a dynamic, international, and multidisciplinary team of experts. Together with your colleagues, you excel at our clients.

Does this describe you?

You are people-oriented and (socially) adept in political, dynamic, and complex environments. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams. You are also a team player who can listen well and clearly convey ideas to colleagues and clients to come up with the best solution together. You want to expand your knowledge in the field of risks and regulation and stay informed of all new developments. You enjoy solving complex issues and creating impact with your substantive skills.

You have 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience with a clear focus on financial services, specifically on regulation.

You have a completed Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Law or another finance-oriented study;

You have an affinity with risk management, finance and compliance;

You speak and write fluently in Dutch and English;

You have a critical attitude and an eye for detail;

You are proactive and do not shy away from a challenge;

You are able and willing to travel, sometimes domestically and sometimes abroad, as required for an assignment.

What are we offering?
At PwC, you will have the opportunity to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organisation and grow within our global network. As part of our team we offer:

A competitive salary, attractive pension plan and the opportunity to grow;
