Senior Associate, Consumer Lifecycle Marketing
About the Team

The mission of our Retention Marketing team is to build lasting relationships with our audiences – consumers, dashers, and/or merchants – as soon as they engage with DoorDash by providing them with a personalized, cross-channel experience that delights them and drives them to return to DoorDash to find the products and experiences that are relevant to them.

About the Role

We are looking to bring on a strategic, solution-oriented, and creative retention marketer to join the New Verticals retention team. In this role, you will focus on launching and maintaining CRM programs that help drive growth and retention for DoorDash during seasonal moments & holidays, or ‘Occasions’ – think everything from Easter to a month-long winter holidays campaign. You will define and own business metrics, and collaborate with all parts of the business to create CRM campaigns that drive growth to DoorDash during key consumer moments. 

Key areas of support include: creating and maintaining campaigns & workflow strategy for occasional efforts, including offer, cadence, and audience testing; analyzing the impact of initiatives on key business metrics like order rate rate and revenue;  creative ideation & iteration, including creative optimization w/ the help of internal creative resources; consulting and overseeing strategy for various Cx workstreams. In this role, you will collaborate with all parts of the business (strategy & operations, brand, product marketing, analytics) and with our Retention team to create and execute strategies that engage and retain active customers on emerging lines of business at DoorDash. 

You will report to our New Verticals + Occasions Lead on our Consumer Lifecycle Marketing team within our Growth Marketing organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will… Responsible for creating CRM strategies to engage and retain Customers during seasonal moments Create detailed customer journey flows with actionable trigger points with both static and dynamic content to drive conversion and engagement Work closely with the Integrated Marketing function to develop campaign strategy briefs based on business needs and audience behavior, determining the best channel mix, audience targeting, and number of touchpoints per program  Partner with Marketing Ops counterparts who are responsible for campaign build, QA, & launch  Establish a strong working relationship with cross functional stakeholders in our Creative Studio, Promo Strategy, Product, Operations, Analytics, and Strategy teams Work with Lifecycle Marketing Managers to increase personalization and relevance within audience lifecycle Manage email reporting dashboards, monitor trends, and make recommendations based on results Stay current on marketing best practices in email, push and SMS and share learnings and insights regularly with the broader marketing team We’re excited about you because you have… 4+ years experience in CRM or email marketing Deep familiarity with CRM technology including ESPs/marketing automation platforms Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Strong writer and communicator Basic knowledge of SQL, HTML and data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Periscope) Knowledge of email industry best practices including contact strategies, targeting and segmentation, A/B testing, and analytics. Extremely organized, dependable, self-motivated & ability to multi-task Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
