Senior Applications and Systems Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled and customer-focused senior **Applications Engineer** to join a dynamic team supporting business growth and technical excellence in the Semiconductor/Electronics industry. In this role, you will collaborate with sales and technical stakeholders to influence design decisions, shape solutions, and guide customers through complex system implementations. Your strong technical background and ability to build deep relationships will make you a trusted advisor and key contributor to long-term customer success. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** • Collaborate with sales, business development, and technical stakeholders to define and execute account-level technical strategies. • Engage directly with customers to understand and refine their technical requirements, aligning solutions to their business goals. • Act as a trusted consultant during pre-sales engagements, influencing customer design and deployment decisions. • Provide technical leadership and coaching to peers and junior engineers. • Build and maintain long-term technical relationships at key accounts to enhance trust and solution adoption. • Deliver feedback from the field to inform product direction and go-to-market strategies. • Develop and apply expertise in both internal platforms and competitive technologies to guide customer outcomes. • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives that support customer engagement and growth opportunities. **Who You Are:** You are a highly adaptable and action-oriented engineer who thrives in fast-changing environments. You build trust through your technical credibility and natural curiosity, and you inspire confidence in both your peers and your customers **For This Role, You Will Need:** • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. • 5+ years of hands-on experience in mixed-signal applications and system development. • Strong programming skills in at least one high-level language (e.g., Python, C++, C). • Experience in developing or supporting automated test and validation systems, ideally within the Semiconductor/Electronics industry. • Availability to travel up to 25% across the Americas region. • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and engage effectively with customers and internal teams. • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written **Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:** • Familiarity with test engineering equipment such as DMMs, SMUs, Oscilloscopes, AWGs, etc. • Proficiency in LabVIEW, .NET, Python, or C++ with 2+ years of experience in LabVIEW (certification preferred). • Experience working with PXI modular instrumentation. • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others while continuously growing your own expertise. • Comfortable navigating uncertainty, managing risk, and driving clarity in ambiguous or evolving technical landscapes. **Our Culture & Commitment to You:** At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
