About the Role:
\nWe are seeking a highly experienced and self-driven Senior Application Engineer with deep expertise in Enterprise IT tools management, incident lifecycle automation, and observability solutions. This role will focus on optimizing incident creation pipelines and integrating key tools such as Cribl, Netcool, SolarWinds, AppDynamics and Splunk. The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of experience, strong automation capabilities, and a passion for streamlining IT operations across complex environments.

Responsibilities:
\n\n Design and maintain automated incident creation pipelines, ensuring intelligent alerting and ticketing across enterprise systems.\n Architect, deploy, and manage IT monitoring and observability platforms including:\n \n Cribl (Log pipeline routing, enrichment, and reduction)\n IBM Netcool/AIOps (OMNIbus, Impact, event correlation and enrichment)\n SolarWinds (NPM, SAM, advanced alerting)\n Splunk/AppDynamics (Dashboards, Alerts, Automation using SPL and integrations)\n \n Develop automation scripts and integrations to streamline:\n \n Event correlation\n Alert deduplication\n Ticket generation in ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy)\n \n Implement and maintain automation frameworks using tools/languages like Python, PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform.\n Collaborate with DevOps, NOC, and Infrastructure teams to enhance visibility and incident responsiveness across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.\n Lead the technical strategy for enterprise monitoring, ensuring alignment with uptime, SLA, and SRE objectives.\n Create and maintain thorough technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.\n Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring and automation practices.\n\n\n
Basic Qualifications for Consideration:
\n\n 15+ years of experience in enterprise IT environments with a focus on tools engineering, incident response, and automation.\n Strong background in incident management processes and event-driven automation.\n Demonstrated expertise in any of the following:\n \n Cribl – routing, filtering, and transforming observability data\n IBM Netcool/AIOps – OMNIbus, Impact policy development, event workflows\n SolarWinds – monitoring configuration and custom alerting\n Splunk/AppDynamics – search optimization, dashboarding, integrations\n \n Experience with automation tools/languages such as:\n \n Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Bash, REST APIs\n \n Familiarity with ITSM platforms and automated ticketing workflows.\n Strong understanding of infrastructure monitoring, log aggregation, and data pipelines.\n Self-motivated with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.\n\n\n
Preferred Qualifications:
\n\n Experience integrating Cribl with cloud-native and legacy monitoring tools.\n Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related observability tools.\n ITIL certification or deep understanding of incident/problem/change processes.\n\n\n

For this position, actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition to base pay, this position, based on business need, may be eligible for a bonus or incentive. In addition, Conduent provides a variety of benefits to employees including health insurance coverage, voluntary dental and vision programs, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) or vacation and/or sick time. The estimated salary range for this role is $113,383 - $147,250
