Description
Under general supervision of the Manager of Ambulatory IS Applications, the Senior Application Analyst will be considered a key member of the Information Services team, focused on application support, issue resolution, and service delivery for clinical and business applications. This person will advise or participate in system-wide projects and reported issues as well as create and foster strong working relationships among teammates. The application analyst will provide oversight of the development, delivery, and support of technology solutions to achieve optimal patient safety, financial, and workflow efficiencies. This is a role responsible for vendor management, as well as management of ambulatory-based applications, solutions, and processes.
The Sr. Application Analyst will manage the administration and maintenance of assigned information systems, function(s) and/or resources. Major responsibilities include assignments for installations, conversions and upgrades, and the resolution of customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance, or production application.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide day-to-day operational support and routine maintenance for ambulatory applications.Respond to end user requests.Perform troubleshooting of complex issues related to system functionality and data integrity.Follow and support standard testing methodologies for updates, changes, and patches.Provide high quality documentation related to new or modified system configuration and support.Communicate with vendors and other support services to install/support systems.Maintain, check, test, troubleshoot and update all data interfaces and other system inputs/outputs.Work directly with clinicians, staff and corporate resources to support application workflows and serve as a liaison with vendors when escalation is needed to align clinical and IT standards with department workflow, processes, and policies.Participation in an on-call rotation.Communicate effectively with vendors and hospital personnel on all levels is required.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Necessary Experience/Skills:
Candidates for this role should have a passion for providing excellent customer service and the ability to promote innovation within the division. Strong organizational skills, decisive judgement, and the ability to establish predictable outcomes for our customers is a must. Robust knowledge of computer applications and systems, as well as interpersonal and organizational problem-solving skills will be essential to perform this role. Teamwork, ability to self-start, and excellent written and verbal communication skills will be mandatory for this role.
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum 4-years' experience providing direct application support in a healthcare environmentStrong troubleshooting skills in resolving end-user issues, workflow problems, and data discrepanciesMinimum 2-years direct customer service experienceUnderstanding of software architecture (i.e., components, relationships, constraints)Demonstrates ability to manage vendor relationships including accountability to SLA and scopeAbility to work directly with customers, vendor technology teams, internal teams, and business partners to resolve issuesExcellent problem diagnosis skills (i.e., discovery, replication, troubleshooting, resolution, verification, communication and/or escalation)Demonstrates ability to multi-task and meet assigned deadlines within a rapidly changing environmentDemonstrates ability to work independently to solve business/technology problemsHighly organized with the ability to plan and execute small-to-large projectsDevelop an in-depth knowledge of company products, procedures, applications, etcPreferred Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration with technology as a core component or a closely related field.Knowledge of Healthcare operations, Agile methodology, Vendor management, HL7, SQL, Managed file transfer.Hands-on application support experience with Service Now, Athena, ModMed EMA, PACS, CPACS and other applications used in physician practices.Working Conditions:

Pay: $89,440 - $143,104 annually. Compensation depends on location, qualifications, and experience. Management level positions may be eligible for sign-on and relocation bonuses.Benefits
