The Studio Metrics & Strategy DSE team is responsible for delivering metrics, data tools, and analysis that empower our business and product partners in Content Operations & Innovation to measure, interrogate, and steer Content & Business Operations with precision and clarity. This facilitates operational excellence in content production, enabling creative teams to produce the best movies and shows that we know members will love.
EMEA is a growing center for our broader Studio & Creative Production teams. We are looking for a stunning Senior Analytics Engineer based in Amsterdam to join our growing EMEA team. In this role, you will partner with business teams and product managers to design metrics, develop analytic tools, and perform analyses that power content & business operations at scale. Your analytical insights will help steer global production strategy, supercharge product-enabled workflows, and assess the impact of a wide array of content & business products.
As a Senior Analytics Engineer in this space, you willBe a strategic thought partner for Content Operations & Innovation leaders and teams, identifying metric and analytic opportunities to assess and enhance business health
Drive the direction of your work, developing solutions that span from scrappy code and analytic tools to high-visibility dashboards and analyses for Business and Product leadership
Spearhead the creation of new metrics and tooling to empower business and product decision-making
Collaborate with Data Engineers and Software Engineers to source data from new systems and strengthen our foundational production data models
Work with other outstanding Analytics Engineers, in-region and globally, to explore our wealth of operational data and uncover insights that enable Netflix to produce even better shows and movies for our members
Establish and maintain strong partnerships with a variety of business and product stakeholders, working directly with them to introduce and influence data-informed ways of working
Become a regional expert on all things Studio Data Science & Engineering, helping educate and connect regional offices to existing data solutions from across the team
About youAn expert in SQL and Python and intuitive dashboard/visualization design in Tableau
Proven track record wrangling data, performing data analysis, visualizing metrics, and articulating data stories to deliver meaningful business impact
Strong verbal and written communicator who can develop and deepen effective relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders and act as a bridge between technical and non-technical audiences
A self-starter with a learning mindset who is exceptionally curious – eagerly diving into new spaces and bringing informed ideas to the table
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and a fast-paced environment; able to take ownership and thrive with minimal oversight and process
Extensive experience within the EMEA region, adept at working across different cultures on a globally-distributed team, collaborating with fellow team members and partners to ideate on and deliver impactful analytic work
