About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytics consultant

In this role, you will:

Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factorsPerform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needsDevelop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancementsLead or participate on large cross group projectsMentor less experienced staffCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLeverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area


Required Qualifications:

4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationProficient in Python, SAS, SQL, RUnderstanding of AML/transaction monitoring principleFamiliarity with AML model types (e.g., rule-based models, risk factors, thresholds)Awareness of model use cases (e.g., alert generation, effectiveness tracking)Understanding of model life cycle governance (development, validation, implementation, monitoring)Attention to detail to document updates with crucial items.Strong written and verbal communication skills for formal documentation and cross-team collaborationIdentify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development, including development and maintenance of proceduresMaster's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business, social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasisDemonstrated experience supporting BSA/AML and sanctions monitoring systems for global multi-channeled financial institutionsAwareness of regulatory expectations for model riskIntellectually curious, enjoy solving problemsFamiliarity with internal model governance expectations (e.g., documentation completeness, traceability)

Maintain model documentation (eg., Model functional documents)Ensure data quality and perform regular validationsParticipate in periodic reviews and validation with stake holders.Support communication across technical and business teams.This profile is an AML model developer profile who understands AML /Transactions Monitoring model development and maintenance, more than AI/ML or reporting hence reporting profiles are not preferredReporting specialists/ Business Analysts, functional analysts, financial crimes or banking operations analyst performing L1/L2/L3 maker/checker activities or alert disposition, KYC /CDD/EDD due diligence/ Fraud /Negative news alert investigators NEED NOT applyConsult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factorsLead or participate on large cross group projectsMentor less experienced staffCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLeverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported areaDraft and maintain Model design and configuration documentsPerform Physical Data elements and Critical data elements check annuallyExtract and analyze model input/output dataReview monthly production outputs to confirm model is running as expected (e.g., transaction/account count, logic triggers, trend)Perform input data quality checks (eg., missing values, unexpected source change, or data defects/scenario gaps in input data formats) to evaluate their impact on model output/alert volume
