The Senior Analyst - Stress Testing Coverage and Analysis supports the engagement with specific workstreams and business stakeholders in the end-to-end stress testing process. Develops and strengthens relationships with key stakeholders. Contributes and supports review and challenge of design, processes, and results. Conducts analysis of various forecast components to understand drivers and inform decision making. Ensures adherence to standards and requirements. Gathers keep inputs and feedback to formulate key drivers and “story tell” stress test results for use with executive management, committees, and board. Build and maintains effective, clear, and executive-ready materials used for senior management and board reporting. The job requires strong analytical thinking and ability to deliver complex matter in clear and user-friendly ways. Requires a good understanding of the different systems, theories and practices relevant to a function as well as practical experience of multiple business cycles. In-depth knowledge of the industry and direct competitors' products/services is also helpful. Requires understanding of the business, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in both the function and/ or area of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to influence effectively.

Responsibilities:

Engagement in the workstream and business specific stress testing process, partnering with key stakeholders to ensure the firm’s requirements and standards are metEnsures that standards and requirements are met within the forecasting process. Analyses and assesses key drivers of results to formulate “story” for senior management.Participates in review and challenge relevant finance, risk, and business forecasting processes, methodologies, and resultsConducts deep-dive analysis related to specific forecast components (P&L and balance sheet) to enhance understanding of drivers and inform decision-makingDevelops a strong understanding of forecasting methodologies across businesses, products, and risks to drive analytical insights, highlight trends, and anticipate outcomesAssists in ad-hoc analysis, including competitor/peer analysisPresenst analytical insights to senior stakeholders across the firmAssists with non-quantitative strategic projects by conducting independent research and collaborating with internal stakeholdersAssists with regulatory exams, responses to regulatory feedback, execution of corrective actions, and internal audit exams/reviewsBuilds effective controls and automation across the reporting process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of information being presented to senior management

Qualifications:

5-8+ years of relevant experience within the financial services industry or management consulting; familiarity with market indicators and bank analysis preferredExperience managing large datasets and extrapolating insightsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; additional experience with Tableau, KNIME, SQL, etc. preferredUnderstanding of CCAR/DFAST regulatory environment preferredExceptional communication skills, including well-developed verbal, written and presentation skills. Must be able to quickly create concise, informative narratives for internal and external stakeholders, based on forecast and historical data, that convey a well-developed “story” and advocate for a well-reasoned point of view. Ability to deliver to deliver effective, clear, and actionable messagesAbility to synthesize complex concepts/analyses, and translate into "user-friendly" languageStrong analytical and quantitative skills— ability to quickly assimilate & analyzeAbility to interact with differing levels of seniority, and to collaborate across the organizationEnjoys variability in assignments, across a range of quantitative and non-quantitative projectsStrong work ethic and attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructionsExperience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environmentDeep, focused control mindset and eagerness to drive efficiencies and improve processesStrong attention to detail with proven ability to distill complex ideas into simple storiesIn-depth knowledge of relevant banking products / systems

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$117,440.00 - $176,160.00
