Senior Analyst-Risk Management

How will you make an impact in this role?

The Enterprise Data Strategy team within Credit & Fraud Risk evaluates and rationalizes Credit bureau and other external data to address business problem statement, improve risk decisions and customer experiences across the credit and fraud lifecycles. The team also serves as a critical channel for the exploration of new data opportunities for the firm.

The Senior Analyst will be part of the US Commercial Data Strategy & Analytics team. This team is dedicated to optimizing the value of existing commercial data by continuous data rationalization and explore new/orthogonal data products to address blind spots from traditional credit bureau data that will help uplift credit decisions. The candidate will lead collaboration with our strategic risk partners, legal, compliance and help deepen in-house data expertise on existing commercial data assets, support new data product development in partnership with decision science teams, and enhance our data capabilities to accelerate growth and controls.

Responsibilities:

Functional

Support US commercial data strategy across the customer lifecycle through structured and risk-based principles. Analyze large sets of data to quantify opportunities to increase coverage, improve quality, bring in incremental intelligence and improve risk discrimination, and influence strategy and models use cases to maximize return on data investments. Develop innovative and impactful data driven insights and analytics through our strategic partnerships to drive business growth and credit & fraud risk management excellence. Build & deliver data driven insights to improve return on investment, manage operational risk in third party relationship, in data integration and in end-use of data. Support customer/stakeholder escalations & risk events through partnering with internal & external partners.

Leadership

Lead with an external perspective, able to offer an understanding of data innovation in the marketplace & influence & shape data strategies. Ability to navigate multi-function & stakeholders to gather diverse information & use it to derive medium to long term strategies. Collaborate with colleagues across CFR Data Strategy, Product Owners, Compliance, CFR Commercial Risk and Decisions Science to successfully design, implement, monitor, and govern strategies related to external data.

Required qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher education with concentration in a quantitative field or business management required. Strong technical skills to perform data evaluation, analytics, and matrices tracking/reporting. Knowledge of commercial underwriting or credit data ecosystem preferred. Adaptable people skills, high energy, and a proven team-first mentality. Adept at statistical tools including Python, Hive and, familiar with big data and cloud environments, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint knowledge required. Adept at assimilation of technical requirements on product, process & contract to inform problem statements, project plan, key success metric and dependencies, executive communication. Demonstrated ability to work independently and across a matrixed organization to deliver solutions quickly. Results driven mindset with a proven history to prioritize and deliver against multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Excellent communication and influencing skills with an ability to translate data and analytics into business insights and recommendations

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
