What You’ll Be Doing
The Global Term Funding (GTF) team maintains a suite of global funding programs, with the objective of bond execution in various markets and currencies within the constraints of liquidity, balance sheet, market and concentration limits. Efficient and cost-effective execution in the designated markets as compared to domestic and international peers is the key goal. As a Senior Analyst, you will be responsible for pricing, evaluating, negotiating and managing internal and external funding transactions and related derivative or cash hedges in the Bank’s own name in support of CIBC liquidity and capital management. Supporting Senior Directors, you will also be involved in the interpretation and evaluation of reports covering transaction and portfolio risk positions, and the review and sign off of key financial metrics and controls. You will provide guidance to operating heads and senior management on matters concerning the application/development of data collection and analysis, procedures and controls.

How You’ll Succeed
Assist in managing Unsecured/Secured/Capital/Structured Notes Funding Programs – responsible for the analysis and pricing of proposed funding alternatives, transaction capture and reporting, and on-going transaction maintenance including monitoring of risk and costs. Working with CIBC Capital Markets you will manage the Structured programs from a Treasury perspective and provide guidance on pricing and structuring, to meet Treasury liquidity and capital needs. You will be providing back-up for peer activities across similar functions in GTF.Information and Process Ownership - recording funding transactions and related derivative and cash hedges the external capital markets transactions. Provide all relevant information for Front Office ongoing transaction maintenance and reporting obligations and work with COE/Finance/Risk Management to meet process requirements and Treasury controls, and constantly evolve those processesCommunication - share transaction information with Middle and Back Office functions, peers in the GTF team, including initial data entry to CIBC booking systems. Interact extensively with Middle and Back Offices to ensure appropriate understanding and reporting of transaction structures.Financial Analysis - producing and reviewing in depth financial analyses and reports for capital markets transactions/portfolios, underlying program collateral, including derivatives and financial options. Making recommendations and improvements in financial and operational processes and controls.Who You Are
You can demonstrate experience. Experience with Liquidity reporting and assessments is an asset as you will support execution of liquidity-related activities, developing knowledge required to support overall team objectives.You are a designated professional. CFA designation would be highly desirable.You can demonstrate experience in Treasury, structured finance and/or the valuation/risk of financial instruments.You give meaning to data.
