Description

We believe that inclusion helps us thrive and grow at United across our collaborative Finance teams consisting of Financial Planning & Analysis, Internal Audit, Treasury, Global Procurement, Controllership, Investor Relations and more. These teams provide the financial fuel that keeps our operation running from providing detailed analyses of financial planning, performance, and forecasts to managing our investments and financial strategies. Our Finance team plays an integral role in making our airline profitable and successful by meeting our financial goals.

Job overview and responsibilities

Support for key activities related to United’s financial systems and processes. This includes:  

Participating in enhancement and upgrade projects including requirement gathering, coordination, testing, communication, change management, and trainingEnsuring proper master data management Developing and enforcing user provisioning standards Managing the day-to-day support/help desk function Supporting internal and external audit teams to ensure SOX complianceAct as a liaison between Technology and the finance and accounting groups to refine system configurations as requiredManage the day-to-day support/help desk function Troubleshoot financial systems issues; identify root causes and implement solutionsTake part in testing and configuration related to finance system upgrades and enhancementsConduct training for new implementations and ad-hoc guidanceSupport transformation initiativesCollaborate with leadership to help define accounting transformation initiativesPartner with stakeholders (e.g., DT, Finance, others) to ensure integration of Financial Systems initiatives with the broader organizational goalsTrack efforts against transformation initiative milestones, maintain timelines, and report on progress to senior managementServe as a change agent and help foster an environment that embraces transformation, innovation, and continuous improvementQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degreeAccounting, Finance, or Information Systems3+ years of professional experience with large scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) administration (Oracle/SAP/Workday)Skills with data cleansing and report writing tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Tableu, Spotfire, Alteryx, or Power BI Ability to write procedures & training materialsAbility to plan, implement, and train users Excellent PC skills including Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication skillsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Master's degreeMasters of Business AdministrationCertified Public AccountantExperience with Oracle EPM Planning and Account Reconciliation ModuleExperience with Oracle R12 ERP modules, particularly GL, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, and System/Security Admin
The base pay range for this role is $79,800.00 to $103,966.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
