Senior Analyst - Financial Reporting

Job overview and responsibilities

Financial Reporting is responsible for the monthly financial statement close, consolidation and quarterly reporting processes. This role requires strategic thinking and strong accounting background. In addition to monthly account reconciliation and journal entry responsibilities, it involves assisting with the preparation of relevant SEC 10-Q/K footnotes and related disclosures, as well as other quarterly and annual external governmental filings. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in US is key to success in this role.

Supporting the Accounting teams in maintaining company financial statementsPreparation of journal entries in Oracle for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closePreparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual government reporting requirements as neededPreparation of annual employee benefit plans and variance analysis on plansPreparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliationsPreparation of the applicable supporting schedules for quarterly and annual financial statements for United (SEC 10-K filing)Coordination with external auditors on requests for various audits

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related areaCPA4 years in technical accountingAbility to prepare and review financial statements and reconciliations, accurately and in conformity with GAAP.Ability to maintain effective controls in compliance with United’s related internal control environment.Ability to handle competing priorities and working within deadlinesAbility to maintain attention to detail while meeting deadlines.Ability to resolve assigned issues and improve processes.Ability to work independently and as a team member.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teamsDetail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
