**The Position** We are seeking a highly motivated investment Analyst to join our Corporate Venture Fund team. You will play a pivotal role in providing scientific and strategic insights into competitive dynamics, industry trends, and future treatment landscapes across multiple indications addressed by the biopharma, healthcare, and life sciences sectors. Leveraging your background in research, development, and medicine, you will lead all intelligence aspects during due diligence, and will shape investment strategies by analyzing competitor activities, evaluating standards of care, and identifying innovative treatment options that could disrupt the market. This position is part time eligible with 80 %. **Tasks & responsibilities** + In your new role as Senior Analyst, you will conduct comprehensive competitor analysis in pharma/biotech, focusing on breaking science and innovation, while monitoring industry disruptors and trends. + Covering a broad range of diseases, you will analyze medical need, gaps in current standards of care, and evaluate future transformative therapeutics and technologies. + You will translate complex and diverse data into strategic insights to prioritize high-potential opportunities for investment decisions prior to Investment Committee approval. + In addition, you will continuously monitor the developing competitor landscape in areas of interest to our portfolio companies. + Importantly, you will be instrumental in establishing the strategic Competitive Intelligence function for the Corporate Venture Fund, supporting colleagues and investments, globally. **Requirements** + Academic degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in a scientific discipline, such as Life Sciences, Medicine, Biomedical Research, with several years of relevant experience, and an understanding of drug discovery, clinical trials, and healthcare trends + Previous experience in an innovation-driven biotech, pharmaceutical company, or healthcare consulting role is preferred + Experienced with competitive intelligence research, with proficiency in data analysis tools and a working knowledge of relevant industry databases (e.g., Cortellis, EvaluatePharma, PubMed, clinical trial registries) + High degree of self-motivation, with proven track record in both independent and team-oriented delivery + Exceptional critical thinking, analytical skills and problem solving, with an ability to condense complex datasets into key messages for crisp decision-taking + Commitment to clear communication, with exemplary presentation, written and verbal skills + Ability to manage parallel projects, with a deliver-to-win mindset + Driven and responsive in a fast-paced culture, often working to short timelines with dynamic priorities. + Fluency in English, written and spoken **Ready to contact us?** If you have any questions about the job posting or process - please contact our HR Direct Team, Tel: +49 (0) 6132 77-3330 or via mail: hr.de@boehringer-ingelheim.com Recruitment process: Step 1: Online application - The job posting is presumably online until May 31st, 2025.
