Senior Analyst/Associate, Research

Objective of Role:  

LaSalle Investment Management is seeking a Senior Analyst /Associate with data analysis skills and an interest in economics and real estate to join the US Research & Strategy team. This person will have the experience, knowledge and drive to contribute to the investment performance of an industry-leading real estate investment management firm and strategy team. This person will contribute to the Research & Strategy team by leveraging their technical expertise to analyze markets, and develop and backtest forecast models. This person will be a resource to the team on a variety of technical matters including data sourcing, cleaning, and analysis. Knowledge of analytic tools, statistical analysis, and proficiency in data science software (Python, R, GIS) is essential. A demonstrated interest in real estate, land economics, and urban planning/development will help this person succeed.  

 

Accountabilities: 

This position involves research and analysis of economic, capital markets, and property market trends in support of the firm’s investment strategies. Collaboration with team members and other members of the organization is critical. In this role you will:  

Collaborate on complex data analysis projects with team members, delivering actionable insights efficiently.  

Optimize data pipelines for forecast models and presentations to enhance productivity.  

Support the communication of market trends and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders. 

Develop and refine predictive models for real estate market fundamentals, rents, and returns performance. 

Perform geographic analysis to inform real estate investment decisions. 

Contribute to discussions on market trends and investment strategy opportunities.  

Maintain current knowledge of real estate markets and data sources to support informed decision making. 

Participate in conversations with LaSalle and JLL Technology teams on data management and potential joint initiatives. 

 

Required Qualifications & Experience: 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in fields that will provide a useful background for this role. This includes statistics, data science, and economics. A Bachelor’s degree is required and a Master’s degree is desired but not required. Other skills required: 

Strong working knowledge of data science, statistics, and economics. 

Understanding and intellectual curiosity of real estate markets and real estate investments. 

Outstanding analytical skills. Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools and software, including Python, R, and GIS as well as Excel and PowerPoint. 

Understanding of cloud data warehousing platforms and proficiency in consuming data through APIs. 

Demonstrated track record of handling complex data analysis projects and managing high-volume datasets. 

Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues throughout the organization and to manage multiple responsibilities.

Estimated total compensation for this position:

100,000.00 – 140,000.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
