Senior Analyst, Trust and Safety, Ads GenAI, Evaluations
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 4 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or in related fields. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree in a relevant technical field. + 2 years of experience in trust and safety, product policy, privacy and security, legal, compliance, risk management, intel, content moderation, red teaming, AI testing, adversarial testing, or similar. + Experience working with multiple large datasets, and knowledge in SQL. + Understanding of AI systems, machine learning, and their potential risks. + Ability to think strategically and identify emerging threats and vulnerabilities. + Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to pay attention to details in an ever-changing environment. Trust & Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. And you take pride in knowing that every day you are working hard to promote trust in Google and ensuring the highest levels of user safety. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and responsible launch and operation of new advertising products and features, with a particular focus on Generative AI (GenAI). In this role, you will leverage advanced data analysis techniques to identify, mitigate, and prevent abuse across the advertising platforms. You will conduct in-depth safety evaluations, establish key performance metrics for Generative AI issues, and drive the development of new signals and automation to enhance product safety. This role requires the ability to work under tight deadlines, manage complex projects, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, particularly product teams. You will also be responsible for debugging escalations, identify emerging trends, and provide off-hours support as needed. A critical aspect of this role could involve reviewing potentially graphic and sensitive content, requiring a high degree of discretion and resilience. A team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $110,000-$157,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more about benefits at Google (https://careers.google.com/benefits/) . + Perform complex data analyses to derive insights that help identify, fight or prevent abuse across the products. + Use data and technical judgment to drive projects of moderate to high complexity and scope against crashed timelines. + Support GenAI product/feature safety evaluations in Ads. + Analyze and debug escalations and identify trends that can indicate bigger product risks. + Review graphic, controversial, and sometimes offensive or sensitive content.
