Job Description

Position Overview
The Senior Analyst will be part of the Mexico International Finance Operations team, reporting to our Controller. 

As a Senior Analyst, you will utilize your financial modeling and analysis experience to build financial reports and analyze results for projects in operation and our development pipeline. You will be responsible for our daily treasury operations and will also contribute to our monthly closing process by completing assigned tasks. 


The ideal candidate for this job is a professional interested in assuming a leading role, backed by a mix of expertise and academic background. The candidate must feel comfortable working with minimal supervision but in a high-demanding environment. Continuously, the candidate will find himself/ herself using his/ her knowledge in multiple projects, and working with various teams, thus, he/ she must be able to focus on objectives and, at the same time, keep a global vision of the processes that allow him/ her to effectively support the business’ core areas.

Responsibilities

Manage, track budgets, and prepare cash flow projections for different projects to ensure liquidity.

Work closely with different functions to explain budget variances and update the cash flow forecast.

Provide monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc summary reporting to key stakeholders.

Responsible for daily treasury related activities: preparing payment runs, monitoring and reconciliation of bank transaction activity and troubleshooting payment issues.

Assist in investment decisions and executing foreign exchange transactions.

Support month end activities.

Support the execution and coordination of different deal structures (acquisitions, divestures, JVs, etc.) and internal financial transactions (capitalizations, dividend payments, cost allocations, intercompany loans, etc.)

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Administration, Economics, Accounting, or related field.

3 to 5 years of relevant experience in areas such as Corporate Finance, FP&A, Treasury, and/ or Financial Operations.

Excellent process, organization, and coordination skills to lead projects with soft skills to ease the communication / alignment processes with the rest of teams.

Experience managing and tracking budgets with strong understanding of variance and trend analysis.

Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.

Self-starter with the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.

Fluent or advanced English.

Preferred Qualifications

 A master’s degree in finance or Administration would be considered a plus.

 Previous experience in the energy industry would be considered a plus.
