Senior Analyst, Enterprise Control Testing

Job Description

What is the opportunity?

As a Senior Analyst, the incumbent is responsible to participate and assist in risk and control evaluation testing activities including evaluating design and

operating effectiveness of controls in line with Enterprise Control Testing (ECT's) control evaluation framework. The incumbent may be asked to oversee junior analysts on control program initiatives/ project work.

The incumbent reports to Manager/Associate Director, Enterprise Control Testing.

Region : Malaysia

Working hours: 9:00AM – 6:00PM

What will you do?

Demonstrate ability to pay close attention to details in identifying opportunities and risks as well as provide recommendations to functions to improve risk management practices.

Display strong writing skills using clear and concise English language to effectively articulate results/conclusions of control testing activities to Direct Manager, Functions, Senior Management and other stakeholders.

Proactively seek learning opportunities to expand knowledge of business processes, activities, regulations, and products.  Such as acquiring detailed understanding of CCAR and business processes through review of procedures, internal guidelines and regulatory guidance (e.g. SR 15-19, Regulation YY).

Achieve subject matter expertise of testing methodology and business areas under review.

Create strong partnerships and collaborate effectively within the team and across the organization.

Manage relationships with stakeholders when collaborating on assignments and work sets with US based stakeholders.

Demonstrate strong can-do attitude and able to multi-task to meet deadlines.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Minimum 2 years’ experience in areas of risk management, compliance, audit or consultancy. Previous experience in control testing and capital planning is a plus.

Intermediate/ Advanced knowledge of risk and control identification and assessment

Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Knowledge of financial services environment is a plus.

Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Nice-to-have

Able to guide and lead 1-2 Analysts.

Self-starter and able to work independently.

Able to own a work set and follow up to completion.

Able to propose solutions to issues and challenges at hand.
