POSITION OVERVIEW
The Senior Analyst, Commercial Structuring reports to the Manager, Commercial Structuring and is responsible for structuring and pricing Cheniere’s mid and long-term LNG transactions in support of the Origination team, evaluating new business opportunities, researching global gas and LNG market dynamics, and preparing presentations for executive strategy sessions. The Senior Analyst will interface with a variety of internal departments, including but not limited to Cheniere’s origination team, strategic finance team, corporate strategy team, gas supply team, and sustainability teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Provide valuation and pricing for mid to long-term LNG transaction proposals in support of global Origination team Build and maintain complex financial models to evaluate new business structures and their impact on corporate financing goals Create executive committee and Board approval materials to support transaction execution Provide fundamental analytical support including gas market dynamics, policy trends, counterparty risks, competitive landscape etc. to facilitate strategic decisions Create presentation for executive team’s strategic meetings
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Knowledge:
The candidate must have a robust finance education or work experience with strong excel and power point skills. The candidate must have a demonstrated interest in energy and the ability to acquire new knowledge and concepts quickly.
Skills:
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills. Complex financial modeling is essential. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex datasets and markets, drawing out key trends and insights, as well as economic and business rationales for decisions based on fundamental analysis and primary research. Broad understanding of the global energy and power business including markets, projects, participants, trade patterns, value drivers, commercial structures and commercial agreements. Fundamental understanding of business development and commercialization activities including: alignment with corporate strategy, project feasibility and finance ability, risk/reward, and the competitive landscape. Highly motivated, reliable self-starter with exceptional written, oral and interpersonal communication skills. Effective communication at all levels of the organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education, Training and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or closely related quantitative field of study; Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience: 3+ years’ of professional experience within finance or similar analytical function. Must be experienced with Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentations. Multilingual is highly preferred.

WORK CONDITIONS
Job is performed in a typical office environment, but is subject to time pressures and constraints, and is often dependent on input from others. Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends, especially considering cross-regional office communications. Periodically travel as business requires.
