The Senior Analyst, Global ML/TF Risk Detection contributes to the overall success of the Global ML/TF Risk Detection team, specifically to the Enterprise Client Risk Rating program, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
**Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:**
+ Champion a client-driven culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
+ Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
+ Support in the day-to-day management of issues or requests that are brought forward by end-user teams, to identify issues that should be escalated to Problem Management or warrant engagement with other support teams from source, technology, or data.
+ Support the process of submitting non-discretionary enhancement intake forms to obtain technology estimates of work for business-as-usual (BAU) initiatives.
+ Be responsible for supporting the monthly management and governance of the Client Risk Rating Oversight Committee.
+ Support the Director and Senior Manager, Global ML/TF Risk Detection, in leading dedicated workstream(s), which includes documenting requirements for new enhancements, drafting business requirements, testing, effectiveness reviews, model review, reviewing all testing documents (strategy and exit reports), BAT/UAT/PIV, and engagement with relevant teams responsible for execution.
+ Be responsible for supporting the Director and Senior Manager, Global ML/TF Risk Detection, for BAU and project matters.
+ Engage and update Internal Audit on audit issues assigned to Global ML/TF Risk Detection on a regular or ad hoc basis.
+ Support the Director and Senior Manager, Global ML/TF Risk Detection, with the handling of internal audit issue closure submission packages.
+ Perform data analytics and database management to generate ad hoc reports, data reconciliation, investigation and metrics generation, and executive dashboards.
+ Support in the delivery of the Global Client Risk Rating Coverage Assessments reviews on a regular basis.
+ Support with the identification and resolution of issues raised by teams such as Global AML Operations, FIU, and 1st line teams (Retail, Wealth, Fraud, etc.).
+ Support with the yearly or frequent review of process documentation owned by the team and identify opportunities to improve processes.
+ Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook, and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
+ Provide analytical support for ad hoc initiatives and issue resolution.
**Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:**
+ A degree in business, finance, social sciences, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial services, within an AML team or Operations team preferred; or equivalent in education and years of experience.
+ Very strong Excel, SQL, and PowerPoint skills.
+ Willingness to work towards ACAMS designation or equivalent.
+ Strong planning and analytical skills, ability to discern research information/data, and ability to digest a large volume of written material.
+ Ability to gather, analyze, organize, document, and present large volumes of information in a succinct and organized manner.
+ Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging, and dynamic business environment.
+ Effective communicator; comfortable interfacing with all levels of the organization.
+ Positive attitude and ability to collaborate and work effectively with team members to achieve common objectives.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
