Job DescriptionSeeking an experienced professional in restraint system development, with a proactive, detail-oriented, and fast-paced work ethic. The candidate will be a key contributor to a high-performance engineering team, ensuring technical excellence and efficient program execution throughout the product lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead development of airbag systems from concept through production and post-SOP maintenance.
Own technical performance, cost, timing, and quality targets for the airbag product line.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design studio, ergonomics, BIW, interior engineering) to optimize restraint system packaging.
Manage Tier 1 suppliers for engineering development and program milestones.
Plan and execute validation activities for subsystem integration (testing, logistics, analysis, and troubleshooting).
Provide expertise in airbag and restraint system design to meet vehicle-level targets.
Support crash testing and vehicle homologation, ensuring correct parts and documentation are used.
Drive knowledge-sharing efforts (guidelines, lessons learned, platform planning).
QualificationsExtensive experience in restraint system (airbags) development.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound engineering judgments under pressure.
Proven track record of working in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
Capable of managing multiple suppliers and validation programs effectively.
Able to document, communicate, and act with precision and urgency.
