About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior AI Agentic Engineer to lead the development and deployment of autonomous AI agents that leverage large language models (LLMs), advanced memory architectures, and integrated tool use to solve complex real-world problems. You will be responsible for architecting scalable, reliable, and safe agentic systems, driving innovation in autonomous reasoning, and mentoring engineering teams.

This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI-driven automation.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the design, development, and deployment of autonomous AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning and planning.

Architect scalable memory and retrieval systems using vector databases and embeddings to provide long-term context.

Build and optimize agent orchestration workflows using techniques like ReAct, Chain-of-Thought, and LangGraph.

Collaborate cross-functionally with research, product, and engineering teams to define AI agent capabilities and roadmaps.

Drive prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and continual performance improvements of AI agents.

Ensure AI safety by implementing monitoring, observability, and risk mitigation strategies.

Mentor and support junior engineers, reviewing code and sharing best practices.

Oversee cloud infrastructure, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure scalable, reliable deployments.

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of professional experience developing full-stack applications.

Proficient in coding (Java or Python). 

Sound fundamentals in DS/Algorithms.

Strong proficiency in design - HLD and LLD with knowledge of design patterns.

Familiarity to building AI applications

Have used or built frameworks for Agentic AI.

Proven ability to self-drive and take ownership of technical initiatives.

Coding

Problem solving and Coding in one of Python or Java

Complexity analysis of the code and the ability to optimise.

Ability to take hints to come up with alternate solutions

Knowledge and application of the right Data Structures 

Modularity and readability of the code and ensuring it is working code.

Handling of corner cases and edge cases.

Tech Design

Disambiguate the problem (preferably around designing AI based or agentic applications / framework)

High level architecture / system design with ability to choose right constructs

Low level design - check for design patterns and API design.

Data modelling and choices of data store constructs with rationale

Focus on operational efficiency in design in terms of performance, cost and ability to scale.

Soft Skills & Traits

Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams

High level of intellectual curiosity and continuous learning mindset

Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical solutions

Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC.
