Wolters Kluwer - TeamMate division is looking for a Senior Agile Product Owner.
TeamMate® software is used by audit professionals all over the world and is recognized as the award-winning audit management software system that increases the efficiency and productivity of the entire internal audit process.
As a Senior Agile Product Owner, your key responsibility is working within a product management team to create powerful solutions within the business audit function. You are a member of a team focused on successful delivery of value-based product offerings. Daily activities include, writing user stories with detailed requirements, working with developers and quality assurance professionals to ensure requirements are understood, performing user acceptance testing (UAT) on stories, and demonstrating the value of the features being created to internal stakeholders and customers.
Additional ongoing activities include working with clients to uncover challenges in the auditor’s daily work, identifying gaps that present new opportunities for innovation, and clearly defining what can be done to make a better solution overall.
In this role, you will report to the Associate Director, Product Management, and work a hybrid schedule, (two days in office) from our Tampa Bay, Fl office.
Responsibilities:
Lead scrum team using agile software development methodologies.
Breakdown requirements with development teams into estimable stories; create delivery plans based on estimates and team capacity project schedules.
Write user stories with direction from Product Managers.
Work with developers and QA to ensure the end-to-end feature set has been thoroughly analyzed with the appropriate level of detail.
Oversee and report on project progress and performance metrics.
Identify, mitigate, and escalate project risks as needed.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Lead planning work based on customer research findings and direction provided by User Experience experts and the design team to create mockups, understand impacted personas, and functional requirements for given features.
Contribute to organizational success by sharing subject matter expertise in a variety of ways: participate in functional and technical training sessions, author & maintain user documentation, videos, marketing briefs, system protocols, procedures and reference materials, and coach / mentor junior product management staff to develop skills.
Assist in troubleshooting internal and external stakeholder issues, providing solutions and triaging defects with multiple development teams.
Document lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline; OR, if no degree, 4 years of relevant experience.
Minimum 2 years writing IT business requirements through user stories or similar in a complex work environment.
Working and presenting to individuals at all levels of an organization, including C-level executives.
Preferred Skills and Certifications:
Internal Audit, Risk Management, Internal Controls, or Compliance experience.
TeamMate® tools and systems.
Agile Software Development.
Negotiation/influencing business decisions.
Change management.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
VersionOne, JIRA, Azure DEV OPS.
Certified S.A.F.E Agile Product Owner.
