Senior AEM/Full Stack Developer

Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Senior AEM/Full Stack Developer to support a high-visibility federal government initiative focused on digital forms transformation, enterprise content management, and automated workflow development. This role involves building and maintaining interactive smart forms, adaptive forms, mobile-responsive UI components, and supporting full lifecycle form creation, testing, accessibility compliance, and deployment using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and other technologies. You will also be responsible for full-stack development tasks, ensuring integration with enterprise systems, and implementing DevSecOps best practices in a hybrid agile environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-level forms using AEM Forms, including adaptive forms, smart/enhanced forms, mobile applications, and dynamic form wizards. Apply digital signatures and metadata tagging to forms; ensure workflow automation and metadata compliance. Assist in building and maintaining AEM environments, including environment setup, upgrades, patching, and publishing responsive/adaptive forms across browsers. Create, revise, and maintain AEM form packages with dynamic capabilities, data validation, tabbing sequences, spelling accuracy, and 508 accessibility compliance. Implement automated testing frameworks, participate in peer code reviews, and ensure adherence to secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles. Conduct end-to-end development, testing, and debugging of both front-end and back-end modules to support form workflows and enterprise system integration. Integrate AEM solutions with enterprise systems including ICAM SSO, case management tools, and other third-party/first-party systems and databases. Collaborate with UX, security, and platform teams to ensure functionality aligns with agency requirements and accessibility regulations. Support the maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of deployed form solutions; troubleshoot and resolve issues within AEM environments. Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and manage epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria in an Agile tool (e.g., JIRA). Assist with the design and execution of Section 508 Conformance Test Plans and validation cycles. Provide Section 508 documentation, including test results, Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACR), configuration/install guidance, and remediation plans when required. Mentor junior developers and provide technical input to architecture, QA, and DevOps teams. Explore, propose, and build innovative solutions leveraging open-source tools and frameworks. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications 7+ years of software development experience, including 3+ years of hands-on experience with Adobe Experience Manager (Forms module required). Proficient in Java/J2EE, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Sightly/HTL, RESTful services, and AEM Forms Designer. Solid understanding of the AEM architecture, components, workflows, and templates. Strong knowledge of form design best practices including conditional logic, field validation, and digital signature integrations. Familiarity with agile software development and DevSecOps lifecycle practices. Working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server), version control (e.g., Git), and CI/CD pipelines. Experience with 508 accessibility standards and tools for compliance (e.g., JAWS, Axe, Adobe Acrobat accessibility checker). Ability to conduct 508 testing, create test plans, and document accessibility outcomes. Familiarity with full-stack development including backend (e.g., Spring Boot, Node.js) and frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React). Preferred Qualifications: Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Forms Developer or Architect). Experience with AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, or on-premise enterprise hosting environments. Prior experience with DHS, HHS, or other federal agency environments. Knowledge of ICAM, SSO, or enterprise identity/access management integrations. Experience with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Jenkins, or other Agile/DevOps toolchains. Understanding of Federal enterprise digital strategies and policies. Accessibility & Compliance (Section 508): Responsible for validating all ICT deliverables to ensure Section 508 compliance throughout each sprint and release cycle. Shall not reduce the accessibility conformance of any COTS or GOTS system being configured or integrated. Required to produce and maintain Section 508 Test Plans, Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs), and remediation documentation. Teleworking Permitted? Yes Estimated Salary/Wage USD $130,000.00/Yr.
