PURPOSE Works under direction and coordinates administrative support for the Harte Research Institute, to include the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with respect to matters of significance. Administrative support for Executive Management and Director of HRI Operations. DESCRIPTION Functional Area 1: Administrative Percent Effort: 60% + Schedule, arrange meetings, and maintain calendars for the Senior Executive Director and Director of HRI Operations for a variety of internal and external constituents and weekly reports. + Compile, review, and/or monitor information as it relates to HRI Admin. + Develops and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals + Helps to implement administrative objectives and strategies + Establishes goals and objectives of administrative operations + Prepares and reviews operational, special, and budget reports + Plans and conducts meetings, workshops, and/or training programs. + Coordinates Employee Development Activities and Events Functional Area 2: Sponsorship and Management Percent Effort: 5% + Manage sponsorships for university and community events. + Analyzes internal processes and times lines and recommends and implements procedural or policy changes + Plan, coordinate, reconcile local and foreign travel arrangements and purchases for the Senior Executive Director, Director of HRI Operations and special guests. + Supervise assigned staff Functional Area 3: Support Percent Effort: 35% + Assist Foundation Board of Directors, Leadership Council, and Development Director with any administrative tasks to coordinate schedules, information, and development efforts. + Manage Executive Director duties as they relate to donors and donor events. + Track and manage multiple projects as directed by the Senior Executive Director and Director of HRI Operations. + Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgment and initiative. + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others + Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS + Bachelor's degree + Six (6) years of related experience + Additional education and/or experience may be considered as a substitution for the minimum requirements. + High School Diploma/GED and ten (10) years of related experience + Associate’s degree and eight (8) years of related experience + Master’s degree and four (4) years of related experience + Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation applications. + Ability to organize work effectively and prioritize objectives with a high level of discretion and independent judgment and initiative + Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. + Strong interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
