Senior Acountant
Description As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting operational accounting processes, and driving efficiencies through advanced technical skills. A qualified candidate will have expertise in advanced Excel, NetSuite, and one or more of the following ERP systems: Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Oracle, or SAP S/4HANA. This position will support budgeting, forecasting, monthly close processes, and financial compliance while leveraging cutting-edge accounting tools to provide actionable insights to management. Responsibilities: + Financial Reporting & Analysis: + Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in compliance with GAAP. + Generate and interpret variance analysis reports, including comparisons of actual vs. budgeted financial performance. + Provide management with insightful forecasting and modeling to support business decisions. + ERP System Expertise: + Operate and optimize financial processes using NetSuite and other systems such as Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Oracle, or SAP S/4HANA. + Lead system integration or migration efforts as needed and ensure successful adoption of ERP functionality. + Work closely with IT and finance teams to streamline workflows and enhance system efficiency. + Excel & Advanced Data Analytics: + Utilize advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Power Query, and macros, to streamline data analysis and reporting processes. + Analyze and interpret complex datasets to provide actionable advice on improving profitability and operational efficiency. + Month-End Close Process: + Oversee month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. + Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in accordance with corporate policies. + Compliance & Audit: + Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls, including SOX and other applicable laws. + Assist in preparing schedules for audits and liaise with external auditors when necessary. + Cross-Functional Collaboration: + Partner with operations, IT, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and drive process improvements. + Mentor junior team members and support reskilling/upskilling initiatives for internal employees. Requirements Qualifications: Academic: + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA preferred. + MBA or Master's degree in Accounting is a plus. Experience: + Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience with exposure to ERP systems. + Strong background with NetSuite and proficiency or certification in Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Oracle, or SAP S/4HANA. Skills: + Expertise in advanced Excel techniques + VBA, Power Pivot, or Power BI integration a plus + Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead process improvement initiatives. + Knowledge of GAAP and ability to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
