Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant in Arlington, VA. Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to manage and oversee the billing and receivables functions for a diverse customer base. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, maintaining customer accounts, reconciling receivables, and supporting financial reporting and audits. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing operations, particularly in environments involving government contracts, membership dues, and service-based transactions. Key Responsibilities: * Generate and distribute accurate invoices for various billing types (e.g., membership dues, service fees, product purchases) * Review and interpret contracts to ensure proper billing and revenue recognition * Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding balances * Process adjustments, credits, and refunds as needed * Reconcile AR subledger to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual AR reports * Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation * Collaborate with project managers and finance teams to ensure billing accuracy * Maintain organized billing records and customer account files * Ensure compliance with internal policies, GAAP, and applicable regulations
