A leading accountancy practice is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with solid experience in management accounts preparation who’s looking to take the next step in their career.

You'll be joining a firm that supports a diverse client base, offering exposure to varied industries and projects while working in a collaborative and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:Prepare management accounts, financial statements, and tax returns for a portfolio of clientsAssist senior accountants with audits and financial analysisSupport with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and general ledger maintenancePrepare corporation tax computations and liaise with HMRC as requiredProvide timely responses to client queries and maintain strong client relationshipsEnsure compliance with UK financial regulations and internal quality standardsIdeal Candidate Profile:Previous Accounts Assistant experience, ideally in practice.Proven ability to prepare management accounts independentlyStrong understanding of UK accounting principles and tax legislationConfident using a range of accounting and spreadsheet toolsExcellent attention to detail, communication, and organisational skillsExperience in statement confirmation and payroll is advantageousFull right to work in the UKWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary based on experienceBroad exposure to clients and sectorsA supportive team and professional development opportunitiesIf you’re an Assistant Accountant ready to build on your experience and thrive in a busy practice environment, we’d love to hear from you.
