Senior Accounting Manager

Aston Carter is working with a well-known company in the Kansas City area who is looking to bring on a Senior Accounting Manager to help them on an open-ended, contract basis. They are needing someone who has strong corporate accounting experience, has a CPA, and has worked for a $1 billion+ revenue size company. There is potential these roles will be extended later on depending on how the project goes. Job Description

Join a dynamic team focused on project and utility management in corporate accounting. As a Senior Accounting Manager, you will apply your expertise in diverse corporate accounting areas to independently manage and execute complex accounting processes. This role requires advanced application of US GAAP and IFRS principles and a deep understanding of corporate accounting functions.

ResponsibilitiesIndependently manage and execute complex accounting processes across corporate accounting functions, including leases (ASC 842), debt, equity, and intercompany transactions.Apply advanced US GAAP and IFRS principles to various corporate accounting areas.Take ownership of critical corporate accounting close areas, ensuring timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly close processes.Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements by designing and maintaining sophisticated internal controls.Develop and implement strategies to streamline and improve corporate accounting processes.Conduct detailed financial analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to support financial reporting and decision-making.Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Treasury, Tax, Legal, FP&A, and Audit to ensure accurate accounting for complex transactions.Essential SkillsAccounting degreeCPA certification8-12 years of progressive accounting experienceAdvanced understanding of US GAAP and IFRSProficiency in ERP systems like SAP and reporting tools such as PowerBI and SQLStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceExperience in large company or large private company environments and public accountingExperience with SEC filing
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $90.00/hr.
