Job Overview The Incumbent works under the general direction of the Contracts Manager. The Senior Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of accounting duties in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for the day to day functions of finance compliance with contract requirements, corporate guidelines, and federal, state, and local regulations. This position is open to Chugach Employees, Chugach Shareholders and Chugach Descendants ONLY Work Model: Onsite/In-Office Responsibilities Essential Duties & Job Functions: Coordinate, maintain, and reconcile Petty Cash (if applicable). Review weekly eTime timesheets from contract staff, review coding, and get corrections. Assist employees with expense report entry in Chrome River and review for accuracy before submitting. Coordinate all documents/data for billing materials reimbursements with corporate project accounting. Research billing maters. Initiates corrections as necessary and communications results. Assist in preparation of accounting/cost reports for contract staff. Assist Contracts Manager with preparation of finance Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs). Provide information as requested to corporate accounting. Coordinate with other contract staff concerning accounting matters. Perform all other duties as requested. Accountable For: Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives. Timely and cost effective performance of duties. Communicating effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with all departments Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work. Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations. Adherence to established company safety policies and ability to work in a safe manner, using any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as may be required. Compliance with company standard operating procedures and personnel policies and procedures. Job Requirements Mandatory: Two (2) years of relative accounting experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel. Ability to obtain & maintain valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record. Successfully pass any background check and/drug test required on the contract. Preferred: Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field. Experience with property and purchasing controls with a government contractor.
