About the role:
As a Senior Accounting Analyst you will help prepare our financial statements, support accounting for certain complex or technical areas, complete ad-hoc reporting in response to team member financial information requests and coordinate audit information requests.
You will report to the Manager, Technical Accounting in our Global Accounting Operations team located in Cranberry Township, PA. This is a remote position.
Key Responsibilities:Contribute to parent company financial reporting under IFRS and the creation of standalone company financial statements and accompanying footnotes under US GAAP
Ensure accounting for accounting areas such as leases, pension and asset retirement obligations
Perform technical accounting research and apply US GAAP guidance to Westinghouse transactions
Prepare account reconciliations and provide information to explain period-to-period actual variance analysis
Support monthly general ledger closings, including preparation and processing of accounting entries using SAP
Help coordinate the quarterly and annual external audit being a liaison between Westinghouse personnel and auditors
Prepare multiple schedules and reports to support audit requirements and questions from Westinghouse leadership or its owners
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
4+ years corporate or technical accounting/finance experience
Knowledge of accounting processes, US GAAP or IFRS; financial statement development, including creation, formatting, and necessary supporting documentation
Experience working within a SOX environment
Public Accounting experience or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Knowledge of accounting systems and financial reporting tools – experience with SAP, BlackLine and Workiva preferred
