Senior Accountant - GTR & CIS

Collaborate with a diverse, international team and make a significant impact on our global success story. **Meaningful Work From Day One** This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the GTR & CIS regions’ financial records in compliance with US GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations, and B-F internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities include partnering closely with the business by providing advice on accounting and compliance matters and leading the implementation of new systems, special projects, and accounting standards for the region. This position will also support Regional Controllers in process improvements and ad hoc analysis for these markets. **What You Can Expect** ● Support financial accounting, reporting, and analysis activities for the GTR & CIS markets, including monthly, quarterly, and annual year-end accounting and closing activities. ● Ensure overall accuracy and integrity of financial records for GTR & CIS area territories, complying with US GAAP, local statutory requirements, and management reporting. ● Partner with GTR & CIS Commercial and Finance teams to improve accounting process efficiency and effectiveness. ● Perform relevant accounting functions for the region, including closing and balance sheet reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner. ● Provide daily accounting support, including booking journal entries, ledger reconciliations, and completing month-end close activities. ● Collaborate with GTR & CIS area Finance and GBS teams to resolve accounting issues and provide support and guidance. ● Liaise with consultants for VAT and compliance-related work and ensure compliance with corporate financial policies and procedures. ● Assist the Regional Controller and key commercial partners in analyzing regional operations and financial performance. ● Partner with Corporate Tax, Legal, Treasury teams, and accounting teams in other markets to ensure accurate and compliant accounting records. ● Handle ad hoc requests related to functional or regional activities, identify process improvement needs, and ensure robust internal control systems for the GTR & CIS regions. **What You Bring to the Table** ● 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or spirits industry. ● Proficiency in SAP or similar ERP platforms, Excel, and G Suite. ● Strong understanding of accounting principles and concepts. ● Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with strong interpersonal skills.. ● Advanced knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and local tax regulations. ● High integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to work independently with attention to detail and multitasking capabilities. **What Makes You Unique** ● Previous experience with a Big 4 accounting firm. **Who We Are** We believe great people build great brands.
