Primary Purpose of the Position
Maintain accurate records of the company’s fixed assets, ensure timely capitalization, transfers, and disposals, and support audits and financial reporting through detailed asset tracking and reconciliation.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
30% Performing asset transfers, disposals, and physical verifications
5% Analyzing the flux variances
30% To monitor, analyze, and validate CWIP balances by ensuring accurate classification of ongoing capital projects, timely capitalization upon completion
20% To perform SOX controls according the company needs
15% Help with Costa Rica´s Fixed assets control and subledger
Education and Certification
Required: Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in accounting/finance or related field.
Desired: Prior dispute and billing knowledge.
Experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required)
4 or more years of experience in Accounting and/or Financial Analysis.
4 or more years of experience in capital funtions (fixed assets)
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance MBA, CPA, CMA (desired)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Maintains a high-degree of professionalism with corporate functional leaders - Focused on understanding their issues, building rapport and achieving the desired outcome
Presents ideas/information clearly and succinctly
Self-starter and highly motivated individual who is proactive in identifying issues and resolving conflicts
Strong analytical abilities and basic understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Hyperion Planner/SmartView.
