This role will be based in India with the primary responsibility for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of
Global Travel Retail (GTR), New Zealand and Australia entities’
inancial records are in compliance to US
GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and B-F internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities will include, but are
not limited to, partnering closely with the business by providing advice on accounting and compliance
matters and leading the implementation of new systems, special projects and accounting standards for
the region. This position will also support Regional Controllers in process improvements and ad hoc
analysis for these markets.
What You Can Expect
● Integrity of Financial Records
○ Assume primary responsibility for New Zealand / Paci
ic Islands
inancial data accuracy,
including statutory and tax compliance of a newly acquired legal entity.
○ Provide daily accounting support for New Zealand legal entity, including booking journal
entries, ledger reconciliations, tax compliance and completing month end close.
○ Partner with GTR Finance team and local accounting teams to proactively highlight and
resolve any accounting issues and provide accounting support and guidance.
○ Assist with compliance of local taxation and other statutory requirements in Australia.
○ Provide accounting support to the business in Australia in close collaboration with
Accounting Manager, Finance team and key business stakeholders.
● Analysis & Business Partnering
○ Assist Regional Controller and key commercial partners in providing insightful, clear
analysis of regional operations including
inancial performance and identifying process
improvement opportunity or gaps in control.
○ Partner with Corporate Tax, Legal, Treasury teams and accounting teams in other markets.
● Internal Control
○ Ensure e
ectiveness of internal controls by monitoring compliance with local policies and
processes, identifying control gaps and ensuring segregation of duties in key areas.
● Organizational and people management
○ Provide leadership, direction, and personal development to his/her direct report.
○ Ensure compliance with B-F Code of Conduct and other Corporate and Local policies
● Special Projects:
○ Facilitate integration of newly acquired business in New Zealand.
○ Lead process improvement and other initiatives in the assigned markets.
○ Manage multiple projects under tight time constraints.
○ Ad hoc requests related to functional or regional activities.
What You Bring to the Table
● 4-5 years of local experience in a similar role.
● Experience working with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
● Experience using Google Sheets, Docs and Slides.
● CA/CPA Quali
ied.
● Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
● Strong Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP and local tax regulations.
● Advanced Excel skills.
● Strong interpersonal skills.
● High level of integrity and trust.
