Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the **Senior Accountant** will play a pivotal part in the global oversight of capital and lease accounting, intercompany accounting, corporate reporting, and a variety of high impact projects. This position is part of the Finance & Accounting team, located in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and will be hybrid. **In this role, a typical day will look like:** + Global Capital: Responsible for ensuring GAAP compliance on new and in-process capital projects, facilitating CAPEX project reviews, financial reporting, forecasting depreciation, and performing annual fixed asset verification. + Global Lease Accounting: Provide subject matter expertise on lease accounting to global teams, including Lucernex lease system administration and coordination of financial reporting. + North America Intercompany Lead: Responsible for transaction reconciliations between Headquarters and global entities to ensure accuracy and compliance, facilitating intercompany balance settlement, and making sustained improvements in the reconciliation and reporting process. + OneStream Consolidation Systems Lead: Ownership of the OneStream consolidation system including maintaining data integrity, troubleshooting systems issues, leading internal projects to expand utility of the tool, and partnering with third party consultants as necessary on system enhancements and advanced troubleshooting. + Global Consolidation and Corporate Financial Reporting: Responsible for all global consolidated financial reporting in OneStream (both internal and submissions to Veralto) and leading the quarterly supplemental schedule process. + Revenue Recognition: Assist with global revenue recognition compliance including regional revenue recognition memo oversight, providing technical accounting assistance, etc. + Accounting Project Lead: Lead complex accounting projects as they emerge. + Compliance Support: Participate in compliance initiatives such as Balance Sheet Reviews and SOX Testing on an as-needed basis. **The essential requirements of the job include:** + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting. Certified Public Accounting (CPA). + 3-5 years of professional accounting experience. + Experience in a public accounting firm or multinational corporation operating under Sarbanes-Oxley preferred. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, project management, accounting, analytical and leadership skills. + Ability to adapt to new situations and apply critical thinking to solve problems. + Ability to work collaboratively across multiple time zones and cultures. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The compensation range for this role is $95,000 - $110,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
