In this role you will assist with the financial and management accounting for the legal entity in UK. You will liaise with external accountants to ensure statutory and tax compliance and to improve financial processes and controls.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of journal entries for the monthly management accounts (accruals, prepayments, payroll etc)
Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of associated working papers
Dealing with intercompany transactions and balances
Transfer pricing accounting and control
Management fee preparation with correct mark up for various service agreemen
Income Statement Analysis
Liquidity and Cash Flow Reporting and Forecasting
Preparation of Reporting packs for Group in accordance with published monthly timetables
Ensuring accurate and timely submission of VAT returns and WHT returns
Ensuring accurate and timely submission of statutory accounts, with reconciliation to the management accounts
Working with external accountants to facilitate year end audits and tax controls
Documentation and review of internal controls
Identification and implementation of process improvements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
5 years of experience working as a General Ledger Accountant
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software, strong MIS skills
SAP FI module experience is a plus
Fluency in English
Proactive team player as well as being able to take own initiatives
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills
