Toll Brothers, America's Leading Luxury Home Builder, seeks a Senior Accountant for our Corporate office located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania.

 

What is the opportunity?

 

The Senior Accountant position is responsible for assisting with coordination and preparation of month-end/quarter-end close cycles, review of quarterly/annual report, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing and posting journal entries, as well as ad hoc projects. The Senior Accountant position will interact with various levels of personnel/management. Independent work is required as well as a firm understanding of deadlines and responsibilities.  

 

What are the primary responsibilities?

Assist with the accounting month-end/quarter-end close processesAssist in the preparation of schedules related to footnote disclosures to the Company’s financial statements and consolidation schedulesManage a range of month-end/quarter-end close entries and prepare reconciliations for certain accountsPrepare and post journal entriesAssist with ad hoc requests, as necessaryInteract with various functions/departments including treasury, finance, tax, etc.Serve as a liaison and develop/provide workpapers to internal and external auditors for requests during the annual audit and quarterly reviewsIdentify and recommend opportunities to design and implement process efficiencies and assist in the development of such

Possess a thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principlesPossess strong analytical and critical thinking skillsMotivated to improve processes and create efficiencies through leveraging technology and knowledge across departments Have experience working with financial statements and supporting analysisHave experience with account reconciliations and variance analysisAble to multi-task and handle multiple priorities to meet established deadlinesAble to work independently

Do you have these qualifications?

Essential:Bachelor's degree in Accounting4+ years of related experienceFamiliarity with SEC reporting requirementsHighly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and balance competing prioritiesHighly proficient in Microsoft Excel Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlinesEnthusiastic with strong communication skills and a team playerPublic accounting experiencePreferred:Homebuilding or construction Accounting experiencePrevious experience working in the Enterprise 1 systemWorking knowledge of US GAAP
