Salary Mid-Point: $87,500 Location: South Hills of PA Job Type: Permanent IFG Pittsburgh is actively recruiting a Senior Accountant responsible for performing day-to-day accounting functions, facilitate timely closings, and assist with financial reporting.  Additional tasks will include executing key deliverables in compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and relevant state and federal regulations. The Senior Accountant will collaborate with both internal and external teams to ensure accurate, timely financial statements while making improvements in their areas of responsibility.


Responsibilities of the Senior Corporate Accountant Identify, prepare and enter into the general ledger appropriate entries to capture period activities. Perform monthly financial and variance analysis, general ledger reconciliations, and financial reporting. Assist with ensuring and environment of internal control compliance. Responsible for the preparation of audit schedules and providing detail and analysis for external and internal audit inquiries. Research, interpret, and implement relevant technical accounting guidance. Ensure transactions are identified and correctly reflected in financial statements. Partner on change initiatives with financial statement impact. Investigate and resolve business unit requests.
Qualifications of the Senior Corporate Accountant
  Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field CPA and/or MBA preferred 3+ years of accounting experience Proven success with financial statement reporting, general ledger accounting, and/or auditing Strong knowledge of accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP Intermediate knowledge of Excel
