Senior Accountant
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to provide crucial support to our accounting team. This temporary position will focus on performing preliminary manual accounting activities for Entitlement based billing and Fixed fee deals. Your work will directly contribute to reducing the cycle of time spent on manual accounting tasks by our permanent team members, while also driving automation initiatives.

ResponsibilitiesPerform month-end close processes and balance sheet account reconciliations.Conduct manual validation of data in Excel reports.Aggregate data across multiple sheets for financial reporting.Prepare and post journal entries for various accounts.Reconcile statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.Manage multiple accounting projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.Identify opportunities for process automation and lead implementation efforts.Assist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows.Essential SkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting.10 years of progressive accounting experience.Demonstrated ability to perform month-end close and balance sheet account reconciliations.Proficiency in Excel and financial systems.Ability to do basic VBA SQL coding on Excel.Ability to leverage AI tools as needed.Experience managing multiple projects concurrently.Additional Skills & QualificationsCPA certification or equivalent.Experience working in a fast-paced, high-tech environment.Aptitude for information technology and digital reconciliation.Knowledge of automation tools and techniques in accounting processes.Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.Robust analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in ambiguous situations.Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements.Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite in Seattle, WA, US. The work environment is dynamic, with potential for extension and conversion dependent on team needs and budget.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
