The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying all financial transactions. This role is also accountable for maintaining general ledgers, preparing month-end close procedures, and supporting interim and year-end financial audits.
Essential Job Duties:
Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Prepare journal entries in compliance with US GAAP through the compilation and analysis of financial data Review and manage monthly general ledger account reconciliations and identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies Develop and implement reconciliation improvements that drive efficiency while delivering meaningful financial insights Draft quarterly financial reports to be submitted to government agencies, investors and financial institutions, as well as assist with interim and year-end financial audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries Conduct research and assist with drafting technical accounting memos, updates to the corporate Accounting Manual, and desk procedures Interpret and implement technical accounting guidance to strengthen financial reporting processes and internal controlsJob Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or relevant field CPA preferred Minimum of five (5) years of general or public accounting experience Accuracy and attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentBenefits of Working at WelbeHealth: Apply your expertise in new ways as we rapidly expand.
