Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Arlington, VA. Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with system implementation efforts, and contribute to month-end close activities. This is an individual contributor role with no direct supervisory responsibilities, ideal for someone with a well-rounded accounting background and strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: * Assist with the implementation and testing of a new accounting system, including validating data and supporting system rollout * Prepare and enter journal entries for the monthly close process * Process and monitor accounts payable transactions and ensure timely vendor payments * Review and support payroll-related accounting entries (no payroll processing required) * Support financial reporting tasks, such as account reconciliations and variance analysis * Track and reconcile credit card transactions and employee reimbursements * Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency across accounting processes * Serve as a secondary reviewer to help identify and resolve discrepancies or inconsistencies
