Senior Accountant
Job Title: Senior Accountant

Job Description

This role involves preparing financial reports in accordance with GAAP to accurately reflect the financial status of the company. You will maintain a strong understanding of GAAP, SEC regulations, and company policies, ensuring the accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controls. Additionally, you will prepare schedules and journal entries and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

ResponsibilitiesPrepares financial reports that are following GAAP, in a timely manner, to accurately reflect the financial status of the companyMaintains a good understanding of, and applies, GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and proceduresAssures accounting integrity of corporate financial data through the implementation of appropriate internal controlsPrepares schedules and journal entriesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's - Accounting / Finance / Business5+ years in accounting, general ledger, reconciliation, month-end processes, journal entry, and reporting.Abilities in accounting, researching, interpreting and applying accounting rules and policies.Experience with SAPAdvanced proficiency in Excel (vlookups, pivots, formulas, etc.)Preferred Qualifications - NOT requiredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA)Master's in Business Administration or Accounting / FinanceSQL report writing, PowerBI and Access database experience helpful but not requiredAdditional SkillsDriven – committed to career development through personal improvement.Problem solver - proactive thinker with practical solutions, very analytical, and orientation to be tightly linked to business strategies and financial priorities.Professional skills – strong interpersonal skills, builds and nurtures cross functional teams and relationships, respects others, is tactfully assertive, has a bias for action, and follows through to completion.Process & project management – strong planning and organizational skillsIntegrity – strong ethic to comply with legal, regulatory, and company rules and policies.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsWork Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
