Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Germantown, MD. Summary: This is a full-time senior accounting position focused mainly on financial reporting and compliance. You will be part of the finance team at a growing company, helping to prepare and review financial statements that go to the government, follow state and local guidelines and checking that the internal financial processes are working properly. Duties: * Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial reports for the SEC * Ensure compliance with GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal accounting policies * Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls and processes * Partner with auditors and internal teams to document and update reporting procedures * Support month-end close, tax audits, and handle non-routine transactions * Assist with special accounting projects as needed
