Senior Accountant
Description A respected company in Chandler, AZ, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join its team on a temp-to-hire basis. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in overseeing the accuracy of financial data, managing month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Proficiency in Oracle is required for this role, along with strong technical accounting and reporting skills. This position offers growth opportunities for the right candidate to contribute significantly to the company's success and transition into a permanent role. Key Responsibilities: + Manage and oversee month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries. + Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions to ensure financial accuracy. + Maintain and update general ledger accounts, ensuring all activities adhere to GAAP. + Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports. + Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with other departments as needed. + Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results and provide actionable insights to management. + Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. + Support external audits by preparing and providing necessary documentation. + Utilize advanced Oracle tools to streamline accounting processes and financial reporting. + Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, as required Requirements Qualifications: + Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of professional accounting experience, with a strong understanding of general and advanced accounting principles. + Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA or CMA certification preferred. + Software Skills: Proficiency with Oracle is required. + Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, functions, and financial modeling. + Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. + Excellent organizational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail. + Strong communication skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams and present financial data.
