Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Lenexa, Kansas. This role involves managing core accounting functions such as reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial standards. • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly. • Manage bank reconciliations to maintain accurate cash flow records. • Oversee general ledger activities, ensuring proper classification and documentation. • Prepare and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end close processes. • Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data and create detailed reports. • Coordinate month-end close procedures, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Work with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online for day-to-day accounting operations. • Collaborate on eCommerce financial activities, including Shopify transactions and reporting. Requirements • Proven experience in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and journal entries. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online. • Background in month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Familiarity with eCommerce platforms such as Shopify. • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
