Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in New York, NY. Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our financial operations. This role is ideal for a self-starter with strong experience in account reconciliations, journal entries, and the month-end close process. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data, support audit readiness, and contribute to process improvements. Key Responsibilities: * Senior Accountant will prepare and review account reconciliations, including bank accounts, intercompany balances, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger accounts * Record and review journal entries for revenue, expenses, cash, and other financial transactions * Manage month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting * Investigate and resolve discrepancies in account balances and financial data * Maintain organized and complete documentation to support financial transactions and reconciliations * Collaborate with internal teams such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and external partners to resolve accounting issues * Support the development and documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls * As a Senior Accountant, you will assist with audit preparation by providing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation * Recommend and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting processes * Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
