Kforce has a client in Saint Louis, MO that is seeking a Senior Accountant. Summary: We are seeking a well-rounded Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, assist with month-end close activities, and contribute to various financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Key Responsibilities: * Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, consolidations, and analysis * Assist with the preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and local reporting standards * Reconcile and analyze data from multiple systems, entities, and locations * Manage fixed asset and capital expenditure reporting, including tracking and comparing against budget and forecast * Collaborate with external advisors to support tax compliance, including preparation of returns and recordkeeping * Provide backup support for payroll processing as needed * Support internal and external audits, including responding to audit requests and maintaining compliance documentation * Partner with leadership on continuous improvement, process efficiency, and implementation of best practices * Assist with internal control development and maintenance * Participate in systems and process upgrades, including ERP implementations and enhancements * Prepare financial analyses and reporting to support strategic decision-making * Collaborate with other corporate functions such as treasury, credit and collections, insurance, and risk management * Contribute to special projects, including M&A due diligence and integration
